Davis, CA- On February 15th the CDRF Board appointed Dr. Gonca Pasin as their new Executive Director. Since the retirement of Dr. Joe O’Donnell in December, Dr. Pasin has served as the interim director.
“I am privileged to have this opportunity and recognize the great responsibility managing California dairy farmers’ check-off dollars presents,” said Pasin.
She has a long history as an advisor to the dairy industry, including her role as Strategic Coordinator of the International Milk Genomics Consortium (also managed by the CDRF) and has extensive experience providing proprietary consulting services that integrate research and strategic analysis to a variety of clients.
Her previous affiliations include senior scientific researcher at the National Institute for Research in Dairying, Reading, England; professor in the Department of Food Engineering at the Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey; Fulbright Scholar and visiting professor in the Department of Food Science and Technology at the University of California, Davis, US and President at the Pasin Business Consulting Group, Davis, US.
The California Dairy Research Foundation (CDRF) is a non-profit public research management corporation governed by a seven-member Board of Directors drawn from key producer and processor organizations. The Board represents multiple perspectives within the dairy industry.
